Events
The Department of Linguistics participates in several colloquium series'
at Northwestern. The Linguistics colloquium hosts speakers from around
the world presenting their newest research on all aspects of
linguistics. There are typically 5-8 linguistics speakers each
quarter. The Language and Cognition program hosts 3-4 lectures each
quarter by researchers from Northwestern and nearby universities talking
about the relation between language and other aspects of cognition. The
Cognitive Science program invites internationally acclaimed scientists
to Northwestern to talk about their cutting-edge research on the human
mind and brain. |
